Baptism at WCA

Poston Baptist Church believes that baptism is a very special way to show that you are a follower of Jesus. Most Baptist churches believe that baptism is something you do after you have received salvation and trusted Jesus as your Lord & Savior. Baptism does not save you, but it shows others that you already belong to Him. The Bible teaches that we are saved by faith in Jesus, not by works. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith… it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” This means baptism is not what makes you saved—it is a step of obedience after salvation. If you would like your child to get baptized, please follow these two steps.
